Basic introduction to an instrument and music fundamentals, reading notes on the staff and musical shapes, key signatures, intervals, and sight reading.


    Intermediate course sizes the student’s knowledge of basic music theory that will take their understanding of melody, harmony, rhythm, and notation to the next level by creating, and analyzing chord progression and formal structure in instrumental works from the baroque, classical, and Romantic eras.

    Throughout your studies, you will sharpen your technical, improvisation, and theory skills on your instrument, and master your overall musicianship during core study subjects of arranging and music history, music theory, and increase your command of diverse repertoire and styles.
